Sorry, once again no design, just plain color. The last few months were very difficult emotionally and professionally, and I no longer was in the mood for manicures. I’m getting better now, but I’m on vacation at my parents’ house in Montreal and don’t have my manicure material. Going back to Tokyo next week, so you’ll probably be seeing more of my manicures soon!
Anyway, I’m a big fan of QUO by Orly, especially their mini bottles gift sets which I usually buy for myself, hehehe…. These two pictures are of Orly’s LOVE GAME (strawberry red) and of PREPSTER (light blue). I thought Prepster would be really pearly (see picture of the bottle), but it’s really more shiny then pearly…. slight deception. It’s also the first Orly polish I use that is not opaque and needed MANY layers, starting on a white base…

What NOT to buy.
Here’s some advice that may save you money, concerning two nail products that are supposed to save you from ruining your drying manicure…
Ducato’s nail protectors, as shown on above picture.
Yay! I have robot hands from the fuuutuuuure! Or no, just some expensive (800 yens) pieces of pink plastic clipped on my fingers. And they hurt. Ow.
No plastic can protect your drying nails, but these might actually work somehow by reminding you painfully that your nails are not yet dry and by hindering any movement your everyday hand-related actions.
QUO by Orly DRY IN A SEC drops
I like ORLY and I trusted them on this product but I’m not so sure it’s working. I used the watery drops a dozen of times since I bought the approx. 12$ bottle and if they work, well they don’t really “dry in a sec”. I’ve ruined nails a few times by touching them 20 or 30 minutes after applying the drops as instructed…

OK, my Daruma looks terrible. He wasn’t very smart looking to begin with, but then he had a kitchen accident…

It’s really not much and I haven’t updated for a few weeks, but as I mentioned earlier, I started working and many other things are happening these days, so I had no time for manicure, which sucks. I’ll try to make more soon.
About this one, I especially like the light contrast between the colors.
(Dark green) Beautiful Nail no. 19
(Light turquoise) Orly Gumdrop

I started teaching to kids this week, which inspired me these colours.
Got a pretty bad steam-burn while cooking, which explains the peeling skin on the second finger.
